There’s minimal supervision needed from parents. We suggest being on standby to answer any quick questions your child may ask. Or as a precautionary safety measure, when or if supplies like scissors or crayons are used.

Parent involvement

You can join in on the fun with your child for 2 activities if you wish, it’s fun but optional.

You may present your child with their “My Fun at Home Questions Exploration Camp” certificate at the end of camp.

What are the activities based on?

They're based on a message from an original poem "Always Ask," which is included. It's a message that shows a child the positive benefits of asking questions to encourage them to remember they’re doing something important.

The poem also focuses on how smart and brave they are when they ask questions and to keep in mind there’s nothing funny about asking questions. "Always Ask" is based on my experience of feeling uncomfortable and nervous about asking questions in class, and I want to help a child avoid this scenario so they begin to ask questions with confidence and ease.

What’s the goal of the activities?

The activities reiterate the importance of asking questions in fun, creative, and original ways.
